hello,
I have a tractor that I bought some re-pop lights for. They appear to have a cad plating on them. I want to prime with PPG FP50LV primer. Do I have to scuff up the surface first?

Scuffing isn't necessary unless it has been polished.

Paint has two types of adhesion chemical and mechanical. Chemical is the only one that is significantly influenced by the material you.spray it on. Scuffing the surface provides grooves to help the paint hold and not flake. It may have good enough adhesion without scuffing but for the price of paint I would quickly run over it with some 320
