Has anyone used Jim Carter's paint?

I'd like to see some samples if anyone has a some they could put on a piece of paper and send me.

I'm thinking of the Armour Yellow, Boatwsain Blue, or Export Blue.

Let me know if you recommed another source for original color. I haven't been able to find the Bordeaux Maroon.

I'm working on a 1940 1/4 ton.

I've bought lots of parts, new & used, from Jim Carter and had no problem. However, I bought steering wheel paint from them which was not the right color and they would not refund.

InMy40s,

Jim Carter's gave me incorrect information on reducer to use when spraying their engine paint. I think it is a bad idea to use finish paints when you have no idea the name of the paint system (all the products your use should be chosen to work together).

PPG should be able to help you. Do you have a PPG supplier nearby? Enven if you do, the local store might not want to track down codes for old colors. TYou might want to try calling PPG directly to obtain the codes for your local supplier.

440-572-6100 PPG Color Library - had all codes
440-572-6111 PPG Tech Services Refinish (gave me the number for the Color Library)

440-572-6871 FAX number for the PPG Color Library

The above numbers are 6-7 years old. If you try any of the numbers, would you please post if they are still good?

Tim
