Can anyone recommend what kind of paint to use for the hammertone grey for the recirculating heater? I have heard of Rustoleum, Krylon or MasterChem?

Thanx!

Though it may seem to be a thread highjack, it is not.
I have a suspicion that the finish on Harrison deluxe heaters only seems to be a hammertone finish. I have seen many with varying degrees of what appears to be hammertone, but also many with original, smooth, even paint.
There seems to be no primer under the paint, so I am wondering if the hammertone "effect" is actually a chemical contamination between the oil on the stamped sheet metal and the paint. Fish eye, if you will.
Please understand that the above is purely conjecture, without any facts whatsoever to support a hypothesis, let alone a theory.

My recirculating heater on my 59 is the same as the dash and it's a smooth coat, not hammertone. The paint is OEM.
