Howdy All,
I need some help to replace the rear cab mounts on a 1951 1/2-ton. I have new bushing and the round parts that mount on the bottom of the cab and that mount on the frame. The parts that I am missing are the rectangular bracket that connects between the bushings. Can someone tell the size so I can make my own parts? I think the originals were 3/8" thick with bolts at both ends. What i need to know is how long the brackets are supposed to be.

I found a photo on the forum site on the part that I am looking for. Can anyone give me the measurement of the flat bar piece in the middle?

I just slipped under my 53 3100, and took some measurements. You better appreciate it. It is pretty hot out in my garage, this time of the year, here in Arizona. The two flat pieces that you are asking about, are 1 3/8" wide and 5" long. I am sure that you can figure out how thick you want them from the picture you posted. Hey Rugo - It's hot her in southeast Texas but it's not Arizona hot. You don't have any idea how much I appreciate it. I have been checking the sites looking for clues and was about to start guessing with the cutting torch.
