Well, here is my first attempt of getting pictures out. These pictures are when the truck was pulled out of the barn, then cleaned up a little and placed in the shop.

welcome to the site! Looks like a col project! Nice to drag it out of the barn and let it see daylight once again!

Fixed the link for you. Get a couple more posts under your belt, and the forum will let you hyperlink stuff yourself.

It's a good thing you saved the truck, it looks like the barn was ready to swallow it up! That looks like a nice, solid truck to start with.

The door art is cool. There used to be someone on this site who collected pictures of that. Not sure if he's still around. Haven't heard from him lately.

Yea, that's pretty cool. Please tell me you're leaving the door art intact. I love seeing that kind of thing on the old trucks.

You are in very good hands here. I bought a 48 6400 last fall and I can say that finding parts for a 48 2 ton can be a challenge, but it is made easy here. Grigg and MikeB have done a lot of the leg work already.

I owe both tons of thanks to MikeB, Grigg, and numerous others from Stovebolt. THANKS for all the help! Everyone here has saved me a lot of time searching for parts for the ol' 2 ton

To fclaridge:

The truck story is in the DITY gallery, but the short story is the truck and door art is from my great-granduncle and his son's farm.
So yes, I am keeping the door art. And when/if repainted the door art is going back on.
