The Stovebolt Site Forums The Shop Area Engine Shop Favorite Spark Plugs?

I'm still working on the ole truck. Rebuilt the carb, installed new fuel lines and cleaned and sealed the tank. Gonna fire her up tomorrow (or try), and thought I'd put new plugs in before I do. It's got Champion 85 plugs in it, and I have a new set of Autolite 85. Are these ok? Do you have a fave spark plug for a '55 235? (3100 3-speed) ??? Thanks, Lee

I never much had much luck with Champions in a GM vehicle. They run fine in my old Fords and were OEM for Ford in the mid 50's. AC was OEM for GM vehicles. I run a number hotter than the book calls for because they are not driven as hard as they were 60 years ago.
