Hey just wondering if anybody has tried a weber 38 progressive 2 barrel on their 235. I'm currently using a holley weber, works pretty well, just kind of small. I tried 2 Holley webers and what with a faulty fenton intake and the wonky throttle linkage, I'm now thinking one carb is probably more than enough for a stock cammed 235. Anybody have experience with a weber 38?

That's the carb that Cliffords' performance sells and recommends on the 235 and also the GMC302; of course with his intake&headers

You might call Tom Langdon at Langdonsstovebolt.com.
He likes to sell the carter weber 32/36 carb. I have a 235,in a car with two 32/36 progressive carbs on it.

The CW 32 (32/32 - Motorcraft 740) and 32/34 should be good on a 235 (a 32/36 sounds interesting).

Either one would be too small for a 261 (and a 302), especially before the second barrel kicks in.

A single barrel 36 or 38 might be too much for a 235 - what are the CFM ratings for those carbs?

I have weber 38/38 synchronous carbs in both my 54 truck and 54 bel air, no issues, great throttle response, no bogging. I did have to try different jets than what came out of the box before I found a combination that worked for me. And best of all no leaky smelly Rochesters to deal with.
