Anybody have any experience mounting rear fiberglass fenders on a 1937 1/2T? I have the box mounted..kinda trying to mock it up, but the rear fenders seem not to fit. Maybe I need to trim the fenders. Do the fiberglass ones sti on top of the running board? It seems like if you bolted them to the box and the running board, then they would crack when you stepped on the board. Could anyone send me a closeup pic of how even the stock fenders meet the running board and the box? Also a little wider shot to show their relationship to the box. Thanks!!!

have you looked thru the 30's trucks in the gallary?
the bottom front of the fender bolts to the back edge of the board, doesn't sit on top of it, and I think it has a section there that's shaped to match the end of the board

I think usually the glas fenders are not a real good fit and have to be fiddled - should be strong enuff to take normal use, as the running board should be well attached otherwise and has some strut supports, doesn't it? fenders should have some rods for the bottom skirts to the frame too, at least they do on later trucks

A closer pic would be very helpful. I live near Cincinnati, OH. It would be even more helpful if someone had a truck I could look at. Thanks

I tried fitting Superior glass fenders to my '40. Not even close to original. They swore they were correct but I couldn't use them. Ended up with a steel pair off a 38 which were fixed up to suit.

Bowtie,
I am sure that "Tony" has done this. Maybe you could send him a message.
