I am working on a friends 46 Chevy Coupe The engine in the coupe is a 1955 -1957 235 block code 3836233 and is bad. The plan is to replace it with another engine that he had, which is a 1950 - 1952 235 block code 3692703, My question before we start is, will the accessories from the 55 - 57 swap over to the 50 - 52 and the mounting to the frame be the same? We mostly work on early fords and are not too familiar with the stovebolts. I did see where the oiling systems are different. The donor engine was built by someone else long ago and is supposedly ported, high lift cam, multiple carbs etc. I have not pulled the pan, but suspect Babbitt rod bearings based on the oiling system. Anyway, that is the task at hand and appreciate any help from the Stove Bolt Gurus. Thanks, Joe McCoy
