Is there a cotter key hole on the end of the stearing shaft that the pitman arm attached too? 51 Chevy 1/2 ton. Thanks

No, it's a tapered spline so just a nut and lock washer.

coilover is correct - no pin, I just finished rebuild my steering box and removing the arm was simple once I got the nut off. I used a pitman arm puller similar to the one Orielly's sells, #W142.
