I live in Tennessee and the weather can be humid in the summer months but I still don't want to lay out over a thousand to have A/C. I am thinking about a heater defrost units. I was wondering if anyone else had any feedback on the A/C issue or suggestions for a heater A/C unit. I do not have the original heat unit and am looking in the aftermarket for parts.

Cheapest way; Stock heater and old under dash A/C unit with all new system to "drive it". Must be R134 compatible.

I am interested in adding a/c to a very close to orginial '64 c10. A buddy of mine put a/c on an orginial 56 Caddy and used Vintage Air's old style under dash unit. So the car looks like someone added a/c to the car in the sixties. The compressor and stuff under the hood is all modern and R-134. That's my plan.
