Got my new/old Bolt home a few days ago and had to drag it off the trailer as 3 of the 4 brakes were locked up and would not roll. Since then have got it running and the two front wheels to turn freely. This is my first big bolt but I have been a Chevy man all my life and have a 34 Standard 3 window coupe, a 48 1/2 ton with deluxe cab and a 39 1/2 ton pick up, all three of these are street rods but the 39 COE is original. I have three questions for now, (will have many more) the first is how to get the rear hubs off so I can clean/inspect the rear brakes, second is what does an original radiator cap look like, and third is what do the wood blocks look like that the cab mounts on, the fronts are good but the rears are gone? I also have and ID question on how to ID the bed as it appears to be or could be an original. Any thoughts on how to ID it? It has a 48, 50 and a V license tag nailed to the rear of it. Thanks for any help.

Put some pics on! I got a NOS radiator cap for my 46 COE from Obsolete Chevy a while ago. I think they have since been bought out.

Adjust the brakes to the released position to remove pressure on the drums before trying to remove the drums and hubs.

I backed the brakes off but do I have to pull the rear axels to get the drums off? It is a 1 1/2 ton with dual rear wheels and it looks like the axels must come out to get the brake drums off.

Rear axles have to come off on my son's 1946 2 ton.
