I have ordered this master cylinder. I cannot find the push rod or the linkage that attaches to the brake pedal (I put them somewhere safe I guess). Can I make a push rod out of a bolt (Grade 8)? I will fabricate the master cylinder bracket myself will be something like this bracket but will probably add gussets at top and bottom if there is room. BTW not going with a power booster strictly hydraulic. Just go to the junkyard and see what you can find, most older trucks and cars used about the same sizes parts. You can alter what you find to fit your application. At the bottom of this page, http://www.ecihotrodbrakes.com/chevy_master_assemblies.html is a picture of a master cylinder and a push rod, the rod assembly is what I would think you need. If a straight rod is all you need, then a bolt would work if the ends are rounded over and smooth. Just remember, it has to be held captive with zero ways of falling out. Joe
