Any info available on camping in KC at the reunion?
I believe that my wife gave me 'special dispensation' from the horse show in September. My plans are to attend the reunion September 9-11.
Let me know, thanks. | | | | Joined: Aug 2001 Posts: 3,436 Moderator | Moderator Joined: Aug 2001 Posts: 3,436 | Andy We are still waiting for KC Mongo to get back to us with some info. When we do, I'll post up ASAP. They do have decent flush restrooms, but no showers, and you may have to camp in a back corner of the park.

They have allowed that in the past two Reunions, But I can't confirm that. Do another post or two and then I can send you PM's. KCMongo, We need an answer! Another PM sent to Mongo.

They are great people and will be at the show. I have not heard back from the show director Mongo, but they have allowed camping the past two years. The park has a clean restroom, but no showers. They may not want to advertise about it. If you want a shower, you can use our room. Most of us stay at the Econo Lodge in North KC. It's not very far from the show cheap and clean. We've had some good after show gatherings there, that may last, well after midnight. https://www.choicehotels.com/missouri/kansas-city/econo-lodge-hotels/mo295?source=gyxtI'm thinking about going ahead and reserve a room for the weekend. Double bed is <65 bucks a night with AARP. Anybody needing power get with me when it's show time and I'll make it happen.
There is no charge for camping although for security I do like to a list of who's doing it and phone numbers. The front gate to the show is closed at night and we have guys patrolling the park overnight as some out of town guest leave trucks overnight.
Don't know why I wasn't seeing those PM's till today but Don you have my number and if anyone else has any questions or needs to get ahold of me feel free to give me a shout at 816-265-1462 that's the shop but rolls over to my Cell if I'm not in the shop.
