I bought a used 9" and I'm finding it impossible to buy axle and brake parts locally without the knowledge of what vehicle it came out of. What I do know is:
28 spline 3.25:1 gear ratio Limited slip differential Big bearing Date code is November 1971 Housing measures 60.75 inches from outside of axle flange to outside of axle flange.
Can anyone help?
I've tried following all of the 9" lists and it seems like a 71 mustang is the best bet but from what I've seen those were all small bearing.

Measuring the bearings and wheel cylinders and brake shoes. I will take sometime, so find someone who is patient. If the tag is still there ford should have this info.
The older I get, I only want to work on older rigs.

Find the tag and just put in Ford 9inch followed by the # WGB-C that's the # on one of the ones I have it should come up and give you years and what app it was in.
If you look at the bearings and the seals they will have a no. on them and are very common. Also the brakes shoes and spring kits, just measure the shoes most are 11 inch.

Thanks for the help!!
