I recently bought a 1950 chevy panel truck, unbeknownst to me when I went to pick up the panel the guy said see that truck over there it's yours too. Well it turned out to be a 48 chevy 3804. Does any one know about production numbers for these? I figured out it was built in Kansas City. Im not sure what to do with it yet. They seem to be an un common truck. I am not tech savy so I hope I correctly showed the link for pictures. I apologize if I didn't do it the preferred method.

It was a great surprise! It was supposed to be a parts truck, but it is totally restorable. Which I think is going to be my plan when I'm done with my current one. I would like to see preserved.

Agreed, great plan! I would like to see it preserved too!
That's a pretty sweet deal for sure. I've seen 1 tons in the same if not worse shape with some big numbers on them on EBay.
Congrats.
