Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Apr 2013 Posts: 67 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Apr 2013 Posts: 67 | I recently got a 63 stepside; It has a Holley 3625 b carb. I thought Chevy used all Rochesters? Could this be an original factory installed Carb?? Looks very old. ( Also, the carb has the choke cable attached to choke AND throttle...??? Never saw that before. Very convenient...any info?)
Thanks in advance. Ron A

1963 model C1404?
What size engine?
230 & 292 used different downdraft Rochesters. Both had manual chokes (at, least with manual transmission). The spec manual makes no mention of of a throttle cable (maybe someone will post better documentation?).
The 2-speed Powerglide automatic transmission was available with both engines. An automatic choke might have been used with this option. A Rochester was most likely the carb used with this option?

It has a 3 speed manual transmission. Ron A. | | | | | Joined: Jun 2009 Posts: 54 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jun 2009 Posts: 54 | There was a accessory throttle cable available. Part number 985549 Dealer installed. Positioned to the right of the steering column. Clip at the fire wall to retain the outer housing. Then an adapter that went onto the pivot shaft for the throttle linkage at the cowl. Poor man's cruise control.
