Looking for a mechanic in my town that can help me install a 235 into my 55. Never done it and want to make sure I do it right, thanks.

Is your 55 a 1st or 2nd series? What engine did you originally have?

55 Belair, the engine was not rebuildable, so I bought a newly rebuilt 235 from a 58 Chevy truck

Buy a shop manual,,, take your time,,,get to know that section of the book,,, and do it yourself.
Youll feel much better when its done, and youll know the answers to all the questions people will ask you.
Nothing beats the feeling of a sense of accomplishment , and saying "I DID IT"

Good Luck
