Can anyone by chance post a picture of what the trim panels running down each side {front to rear inside}would look like? I'm about to start restoration on a 53 and those panels were missing when I got the Suburban. Your help greatly appreciated.

I'm actually going to upgrade to ABS to match the headliner.

This is an all original Carryall and the photos show the side interior panels prior to installation.

Do you have the frames that go around the cardboard rear-side panels?

Do you have the vertical "bar" pieces that separate the cardboard rear-side-side panels

Thanks for the photos. Are these the cross "bars" for the roof panels? Or, are they the pieces that go above the cardboard roof panels?

Hi Folks - I'm having a bit of trouble posting a good link to stove bolt for pictures and the help links on the site don't seem to work. Tony, thank you for re-posting. Any help you can provide for posting will be appreciated! (And I am female, btw).

I do have the frames that surround the cardboard side-panels, as well as the vertical bar pieces for the side panels. This truck came in very original, no-rust condition from the High Desert of Colorado.

Regarding the last picture - I don't know what these are - they don't seem to be related to the headliner because the headliner frames and hardware are all present. A portion of the front headliner is intact.

The color - is a kind of maroon brown. That was the original color, same as the sun visor over the windshield. Sure hope this all helps - you folks are wonderful- Lisa

Do you have the original cardboard roof/headliner panels?

If you do, they might have holes in them, to attached the metal bars/stays/ribs in your last photo (they most likely go above the headliner panels).

Those pieces are related to the headliner. There are 8 of them and they go above the cardboard from bow to bow to keep the cardboard from sagging. The only evidence you'll see from the passenger compartment is a small button here and there.

One of these days I will find me a source for these side panel metal surround trim.

Do you have a pattern for where those button holes would be?

Do you know if they were used from 47-55? I cannot find them listed in the Master Parts Book/Catalog.

I do not. My headliner was non-existent and I only had three of the eight supports when I got my '51.

Yep, when the headliner goes (which happened/happens way too soon), all traces of original above-the-cardboard "stays" disappears.

I cannot find those "stays" in the Parts Catalog, so we do not know what years they were used (can anyone find them in the GM/Chevrolet-Truck Parts Catalog?).

Any one know where I might find the metal trim for the inside rear panels?

As the inside trim panels metal trim ring is not reproduced was wondering if anyone has come up with any kind of a substitute that works well and looks good?
