this may be the incorrect forum, so i apologize in advance, but what hardware do i use to attach the headlamp buckets to the fenders on my '59 fleetside. Looks as though screws (8) should be used, correct?, but what size? also looks like i need to make my own gasket as i can't find them for the '58 or '59's at parts houses...

thx

Pan head phillips type screw. #8 maybe? I don't know for sure(some one here will). Gasket? The same as for a Task Force(55-57)? I don't think the Bucket changed much...again some one here will know. Sorry, not a lot of help.

Here is the hardware for mounting the buckets to the fenders.

My '58 had a paste that is similar to seam sealer between the buckets and the fenders. I am just going to use seam sealer from a caulking tube.

you can use seam sealer or go to an RV store and get a roll of butyl tape they use for windows. (about 10$). IT is about an inch wide, and stays soft. It is like plumbers putty but already flattened into a nice roll. Put it on the fender, peel the paper off, place your bucket and screw it in place, then peel off the excess. either way should work well,
