| | | | Joined: Nov 2015 Posts: 19 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Nov 2015 Posts: 19 | I have a 1963 c10 3.8, my rear axle is a 12 bolt and I am running with a 3.73, I have just tried to fit a 3.08 crown and pinion and the planet gear casing is to big now when I try to put back my half shafts, is there such a thing as I thinner casing.

(ring gear on this side of the pond), or you'll need a spacer between the carrier and the ring gear. That's a common problem when changing ratios. Check online suppliers like JEGS or Summit Racing for the spacer rings.
