Anybody drilled/tapped and bolted clips into new wheels to fit old style (say 1950-60 chevy truck) hubcaps?

Trying to find 16's is easy, but by the time they are shipped and blasted they are in 125-150 range a piece. I need five and then there are tires!

If you can find the right style "old" rim you can order the clips from one of the parts suppliers. You can screw them on or pop rivet them on as best as I remember. I've got the clips, never knew it was so hard to find the rims. I'm looking for 2-15" rims now. Have been looking for a long time. Same problem as you. Cost a fortune to ship and then blast and paint. Might be better just to order the correct rims with the clips on them. Just my thoughts. You can do a search on google and it will bring up several Company's that sell the rims with the clips installed. Good luck. Heck, I'd take 2-16" if I could find them close and put them on the back of the truck.
