when I purchased my 1954 3100 it had no bed. While redoing the Suspension, I purchased an under frame spare tire carrier and it came with out the supports. I had some u channel and proceeded to construct the front and rear supports.
My first question is which frame holes are used for the front support as referenced in sect 10 sheet 2.00 of the assembly manual?
On my frame the support closest to the cab has 3 holes to choose from.
The manual on sect 2 sheet2 shows only 2 for the 3100.
Secondly does anyone have the rough hole locations for the strap bolts in the supports?

I am not familiar with a strap. What does that look like?

I think that is actually dependent on the size of the spare tire. Basically to center it in the carrier.

Yes. The size of the tire will determine the length and spacing. I am making a Hitch for a friend and he has a 52 with that same carrier. It has been a challenge to make it so that it works nicely with that carrier, but it worked out great. Personally, I am not real impressed with the 51-59 carrier. Seems kind of unwieldy and no good way to balance the tire on that thin rail when wrestling with getting it up there, but it is what it is.
