I came across this front end on Craigslist and jumped. The owner had done some work: new springs, shackles, brakes, bearings, modified steering links, and anti sway bar. I need new springs & shackle on mine, so this saves me time & money. Still Huck brakes, but I plan on disc swap anyway. The PO still didn't like the handling, so he had a rod shop do an independent front swap. I think his problem might have been the broken brake spring locking up one side, not the setup. His loss, my gain.
I will have to figure out what to do about the steering links. The drag link was cut and a new one made that bolts up to the top two spindle bolts. See pic to clarify. By looking at a '49 1 ton I just bought, I think the drag link from it would work. Need to measure first. Then find one.
This axle has been converted to 5 lug with some ugly 2" thick adapter. I had an extra 6 lug drum/hub, so I swapped it on one side for fun.

I like the modern tie rod & ends.
In case anybody didn't know, or cares to know, the stock 7/16" wheel studs have the same shank size as the 1/2" studs. Just knock out the old & press in new. No drilling.
