Painted interior last night in the 56 task force. Wow, what a night. Hot !!!!!!!!!!! After working 10 hrs inthe shop on heavy trucks I prepped the surfaces and shot some paint. everything went on real well. As a matter of fact, it went on better than I thought. It really pays to pay attention to your prep work for your final work. Well, heres were it gets UGLY. When I was finishing the dash and backing out of the cab, feeling pretty good about the ending job, looking forward to that smoke, I put a HUGE run right smack dab in the middle of the console were the radio goes. YUCK !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Looks like I got a little cocky. Well, nothing a little wet sanding can't handle and re-shoot. I'll try to post pics this am of the paint job and the project.

Isn't that the way it always is? Just when you are getting ready to wrap things up, something goes wrong.

I remember back in '86 when I was framing up the walls for the shop I was building, everything had went fine until the last nail in the last stud. :mad: OUCH!!! Smashed the middle finger of my left hand with the hammer. Completely busted it open next to the fingernail. Bled like crazy. too.

Then there was the time several years ago when I had just finished painting my '86 S10. My brother walks up and is looking it over and is saying how good it turned out. As he leaned over to look inside the bed he put his hand on top of the tailgate and left his palm print plain as day. I fixed it by putting a chrome cover over the top edge of the tailgate.

Glad to hear about your progress and hopefully the run want be too big of a problem to correct.

I have always said that I'm the most dangerous with the gun in my hand after the 3rd coat and the job looks really good.
I have to tell myself... put the gun down and nobody gets hurt!
Its always that little thing you think you could do to make it better by hitting it just one more time that gets ya.
