Hi Guys,
I am wanting to replace my Fiberglass Running Boards with Reproduction Metal Ribbed Running Boards. My truck is a 1954 Chevy 1/2 ton.

There are a lot of companies selling them with various prices. I know you usually get what you pay for so I am looking for a decent quality running board.

Who have you gentlemen found to sell a good quality(sturdy)metal ribbed running board? Also, is 16 gauge(which some claim to sell), a good thickness?

Thank you in advance for your advice.

I can't comment on manufacturers' quality, but 16 gauge is a good thickness for these. This is what I built my boards out of. With no ribs, they are plenty strong. The profile angles provided the rigidity.

Just put a set on my 54 3100 from classic industries and they worked perfect.
