My 59 fleetside has a 1969 327 in it that was swapped back in about 72. Has a new fuel tank, line, filter and pump. recently rebuilt quadrajet. New HEI and wires, new battery...anyway, I start it up in the driveway, let it warm up, turn around and drive down the drive-about 50 yards, then turn up the street, I get about 50 yards and it starts missing and stuttering, I rev it a little with the clutch in then go on and it will drive fine for the rest for the day. Idle quiet and smooth, nice power etc etc, it just does this stutter when i'm reaching the top of first gear the first time out of the drive? Ideas?
Thanks

They say money can't buy happiness. It can buy old Chevy trucks though. Same thing.

Do you have the exhaust baffle on the bottom of the right-side exhaust manifold? This restricts hot exhaust from going out the right tailpipe and diverts it through the intake manifold for better atomization of the fuel/air mixture during cold engine operation.
