I'm starting to fill holes on my 49 firewall as well. Please describe the best method. Did you use mini patches and weld them in. What did you make them from?

I will have to redrill some hole for the wire stays but I may reroute the wire for the starter/coil anyway! I'm looking into whether or not I want to fill the upper air vent drain hole! I may run a tube on the inside and sneak it out above the trans as i think it looks goddy and who want water running on the clean motor anyway!
Anyone got any other tricks to Clean up an engine compartment shoot them at me! The Frame and engine is done but I haven't taken any pics to show, it left in a hurry for a show! but the whole engine and acceries are Orange as will the rest of the vehicle!
Speaking of Shows, a lot of people didn't think showing off the frame with the Engine all done would be worth while, but as it stands it was the most looked at unit there, lot of uhs and ahs and questions out the kabouse! Don't be afraid to bring your Inprogress vehicle to the shows, you may not win anything but you'll get alot of looks!

Especially after I get the motor painted Harley Green. With all the chrome and SS on the 2 units problay be the only time it gets admired. The worse thing is I would have to pull the motor back off to install the cab.
