Just wandering why a 54 Canadian trucks dash is different than the ones I see from the U.S.

What difference are you referring to?

Maybe the Canadian GMC dash is a Chevrolet truck style dash?

The the 1954 Canadian GMC drive-train was a Chevrolet drive-train (using a Chevrolet 235 or 261 engine).

Big Canadian GMC were more like USA GMCs (I think "big" meant over 2-ton?)

Bobb,

Do you know about the dash on small Canadian 1954 GMC trucks? I do not have my 1954 Canadian GMC/Chevrolet-truck maintenance manual unpacked.

Is your GMC a '54? Prior to '54 GMC and Chevy used the same dash.

My 54 is a 54 one piece windshield. Box sides flat on top at 90. Front grill has parking lights incorperated.

Hy Guys, I have no personal knowledge of which dash was used in a Canadian 54/55A GMC light truck. Considering that everything else on Canadian GMC light trucks is Chevrolet, I would not be surprised to find a Chevrolet dash board in a 54/55A Canadian GMC light truck.

Canadian 1954 GMC dash is Chevrolet, except "CHEVROLET" is not stamped in.
