I have the channel- from Chevies of the 40s I think, its the black windlace style- flexible steel and rubber. NO INSTRUCTIONS, but it appears this channel just extends to the top of the glass on both sides and does not cover the window frame. Will it wedge in OK or will I need to attach it w/some short flat screws? I also have to install door handle ferules and a member has explained that to me using an old lug nut and bolt and adding an Oring on the inside to keep it tight.
I am on a roll- last w/e finally fixed the missing timing mark- yes, a new balancer did the deed, and replaced the 750 CFM carb with a 600, so the SBC now is set to run as it should. George

Might not be right, but I went all the way up the sides as well as the top of the window on my '40. Seems like it took about 5' for each door. No frame on your glass, right?

right, no frame except on the bottom. So you put the track all the way around..........did you fasten it to the frame and if so, how. Thanks, George

I screwed it to the door frame by drilling 4 small holes. One near each end at the bottom and one about 2" below the top just before it makes the bends. When I redo it, I may drill a hole either at the center of the bends or just after so those corners can be pulled in a bit tighter. The stuff is bendable, but I had a little trouble getting it tight in the corners. It did conform to the glass though. Hope this helps.
