They want to know what day I entered Canada. I know the month and year, and it was sunny, but not the exact day. They also want to know how much to take out in taxes every month.... HOW ABOUT NONE!?!?.... but don't ask for it at the end of the year, you buzzards.

That's why I said don't ask for it all at the end. LOL>... I have no idea what the exact date is when I entered, just the month and year. They gave me a paper that I had for years and I am sure it had the date on it, but an anthropologist will maybe find it 500 years from now. Who keeps those things. I'm a piler not a filer. I am sure there is some government employee that can give me the exact date. THEY'VE BEEN WATCHING ME SINCE I CAME IN 1976!

I thought about your OAP documents issue some more. If you have not been to Services Canada they would be my first stop. It's such a nice day today I might be able to wheel out the chassis of my 2 ton do some clean up on it. Although, I want to pull the engine and tranny off before I do that and I have my engine hoist hold up my cab right now. May have to build a cab cart first.

I got all the papers done and last month got me first old foggie check. I like getting those. I just don't like paper work. Now we have to go to the government office and prove my wife, who is Canadian, came back to Canada in 1976 so she can get her Canada pension starting in October.

I would think you wife could show taxes that she paid the govt would show when she came back, well maybe not, she may not be a worker... if a person has dual citizen ship, can they double dip and get two pensions.. sorry, just be curious not trying to be nosy

You have to have enough "quarters" to qualify. I have a neighbor who is retired and gets his Czech army pension of $50 every month.
