On my 49-3100 (235 engine) I plan to install Fenton headers and Porter mufflers. Any comments or feedback on this would be appreciated.

you might scan thru these post and see if they will aid u

you have a lot of choices, some like porter, some like smitthys, some like glass packs, I had smitthys on my 235 with fenton headers, like them a lot.. you also have to determine the length you want, length affects the sound..etc

I have Fentons and Porters on my 54 with the 235, I like the way they sound compared to the Smitthys that were on it before. Fairly tame but you can make it loud by giving it the throttle.

Did you use the 20" or 14" mufflers? Where in the exhaust line did you install mufflers - in front or in back of rear axle? Also if you have a photo it would be great.

They are forward of the rear axle, just past were the bed begins. I know they are not as short as 14" inches but the exact length I dont remember at this time. I don't have any pics but I should be able to get some this weekend.
