Who all is going? I got my pre-registration done at the last minute on Friday.

We'll be heading up from Spring to Austin this coming Friday.

I'll be there. Can't go until Sat early AM. The Model A is running perfect, and we are experiencing the best run of weather that I can remember. Are you taking the Mustang or the 3100?

LOL, what kind of question is that, Allen? ;-)

We're taking the 3100, and convoying with my buddy in his 60-something F100 with a big block, and another buddy in his 58 Apache with a 261 and 5 spd. I have to lead so they don't run away from me...

Sounds good Eric, put up a Stovebolt identifier so we can find you. Wonder if John has a flag?

It would work if I had remembered to print it while at work today. You'll just have to look at a picture and maybe remember it...

Show was great. A little light rain mid-day on Saturday, but we had a great time. Saw some friends, met some folks, saw a ton of amazing cars and trucks. Truck ran like a top there and back. Overall a good weekend.

Eric, we were there as well on Saturday. Not sure if I or Fred jinxed us with the rain. Wasn't bad at all. Found you guys kind of up on the hill on the way out by the Vendor barn. Asked a young lady sitting under a popup tent where you were and she said you guys were off looking at cars. Great show. Figure about 20-30 Stovebolts in various configurations. Got plenty ideas. Will definitely be back next year.

I was blamed for the rain- I kept stepping out from the popup canopy and saying "oh, it stopped, let's go _____." and then it would start again. I was told not to mention or comment on the rain anymore...

Were you wearing an Aggie cap? My friend's wife said someone was looking for me, and I think we had just missed you by less than a minute.

I took some photos, but not as many as previous years. I'll post some of them here when I get them uploaded somewhere.

Last year driving up there on Friday in the rain was the biggest problem for me... I had never driven my truck more than about 15 miles at one time before, and suddenly I'm driving it the last 80 miles or so in the rain with no wipers... Was a big adventure.

Seems like every year at Round Up in the afternoon there's a gray cloud that blows in, gets windy, makes everyone nervous, maybe sprinkles a little, and then moves on without much more drama. There was hail on Saturday night last year too- we hunkered down and drank some beers in the hotel rather than go out to cruise.

Definitely gotta love Texas weather. Don't like it? Wait a few minutes...

Yep, that was me flying the Aggie colors. Took a few pictures, sorry guys, but mostly Model A's. There is a pic of a Stovebolt flying a flag. Still think we need a Stovebolt.Com Texas Connection gathering. We might have to wait until Mario settles in to get things going.

Gentlemen,
I have been following this thread and I can only wish I was there. In due time Gents, I'll come out and join in.

The event that I really look forward to is the Lone Star Loop. Once my truck is on the road, this will be the one to attend.

I think you are talking about me Mr. Allen, so thank you for such recognition but please don't wait for me to get a gathering going. There are several guys already in the area that can pull it off. Trust me Sir, once I settle down in my native land, you can bet cha, I'll be more active with the Texas Bolts side lot and visiting my neighbors.

I'm taking my family over seas for the next three years and then who know where I'll end up after that. My truck will be road worthy by the time we get back and I'll make it a point to attend the Lone Star Round Up and the Lone Star Loop.

Mario

That green AD with the banner above it has an LS swap. I see that truck at shows from time to time, but haven't met the owner.

I would enjoy meeting up with some folks, even though I'm not terribly active here on this site.
