The Stovebolt Site Forums The Shop Area Paint and Body Shop color scheme for '61

I'm trying to find out the original color scheme for the '61 Chev truck.

I have seen several pictures of finished trucks, but all are done a bit differently. The book I have only has a pencil sketch of the grill designs.

I'm a long way from being ready to have it painted, but I am trying to plan it out.

In particular, I am curious about the color of the hood pods. Are they white to match the grill? Or black?

Does anyone have any pictures of what it should look like?

Do you have the Restoration Pack for the 61?
Call GM for a restoration pack on your truck. You will need the VIN, and the information sent will tell everything you could ever want about the model and year of truck you have.
