For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Aug 2014 Posts: 307 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Aug 2014 Posts: 307 | I know this really isn't electric but.. decided to replace my old odometer on my 53 1/2. Got new one from JIm Carter. Taken old one out and not sure how to set the new one at the previouis milage. Did not look closely enough at the old to see how the five tabs separating the wheels line up. Any one familiar with this ? Was going to set odometer at 00000 instead of 43320 on title - though old odometer has not worked since I bought truck 7 years ago. Would this be a problem if I ever sell? | | | | | Joined: Jan 2010 Posts: 4,263 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Jan 2010 Posts: 4,263 | Is the truck titled by engine number? | | | | | Joined: Dec 2002 Posts: 3,438 Moderator - The Electrical Bay | | Moderator - The Electrical Bay Joined: Dec 2002 Posts: 3,438 | Most titles (that I've seen/dealt with) have a mileage disclaimer.
it's usually:
Actual, exceeds odometer capability (rolled over) or not actual (or words to that effect).

Once it is in place is it possible to force turn the wheel to get the correct numbers? Thanks, Scott | | |
