I am looking for replacement rims for my dreaded widow makers. I found this website that offers obsolete accuride rims Obsolete Accuride 20 inch wheels but I am not sure of the offset for my rims. Does anyone know this answer?
I currently have 6 bolt stud piloted 20 inch budd rims.

Hy danzimbric, the offset for the 20" X 6.50" wheel is listed in my parts book as 5.75", hope that helps.

The offset will vary depending on wheel width' According to the GM Heritage site for 1956, which only lists 22.5" wheels for '56, the widths and offsets are;
6.00" W, 5 13/32" Offset Base wheel
6.75" W, 5 29/32" Offset
7.50" W, 6 1/8" Offset.

You might find a different truck with good 22.5 wheels and tires... it might be almost as cheap to buy a whole truck as to buy custom wheels! Mine came with 4 22.5 rims and 2 of the widow maker 20" rims. I found a full set of 22.5 with tires that are like new for 900$.

You might also see if someone could spin the centers out of your widow makers and weld them into 22.5 rims. That might be cheaper than buying new wheels!

Thanks, I mounted a 20 x 8.75 the other day without and interference issues on the rear.

I found three 20 x 8.75 welded rims with locking rings locally and a fourth on craigslist under an add for a used tire. Two of them were painted olive drab so they may be off a military truck. I have seen several pictures of the 2-1/4t trucks with GMC 6 bolt wheels.
Now I'm only looking for two unicorns. I may have to bite the bullet and purchase a couple new ones from Wheels...Now. At least I found a source and the interesting thing is that don't list GMC or Chevrolet under the vehicles on their web site.
