The Stovebolt Site Forums The Shop Area The Electrical Bay Courtesy Light Kit

I'm installing the Classic Update wiring harness from American Autowire. Has anyone installed their courtesy light kit? I'm curious about the door switch location and the light location if anyone has already done this.

What year truck?

I used the lights in my '56 3100 restorod. I installed two of them (one under center of drivers seat and one under center of passenger). I mounted them on the back side of the seat support beam with the lights facing forward. I didn't use the door switches as I wanted a "stock" look so I connected them to the Dome Light circuit.

Now when I turn the dome light on I get a soft light all across the floor up to the firewall...they are completely out of sight, looks good to me.
