I put the new carriage bolts in,is there a good method for setting the cowl vent correct for tight closure and easy opening

Factory filmstrips, I have hundreds I need to format and post if I can just find the time. They were produced and shipped (monthly) for use at the dealers from the early 30's until the early 70's when film cassette viewers came into use. Some with sound, many without but most are interesting with good content.
