I see numurous venders are advertizing Reproduction 55-66 rear steel fenders.

My dealer says that they are not yet available, with a release date of, well maybe summer.

Does anyone know better?

yeah, Scotts has had'em listed for a while, not in stock yet? prolly by the same outfit that's doin the 5-9 doors and front fenders - saw their ad in Hemmings recently - doubt they've got enuff in the system yet, but I've heard they're all excellent quality - I just got a set of new repo hood hinges for the 58 that are super, along w/ a pair of the metal kick panels which are perfect and in heavier than original steel, and I think it's the same outfit

I have bought a set of the steel reproduced 58/59 front fenders and I am very happy with them. I have also bought a set of the hinges, but they are not yet installed.

It was Scott's who said the release of the rear fenders has been delayed, but vendors like Jim Carter's are still advertizing them.

clem - haven't seen the doors myself, but someone who has said they look like perfect repro's w/ the right gauge metal and such - made by the same folks as do the fenders that Blaine's happy w/ - if yer in Canada, Scotts Super Trucks has'em [695CDN= 480US], if yer in the US, it'd prolly be cheaper to get'em from 1 of the vendors down there . . . it has gotten about impossible to find good originals

Yes, Scott's is a parts dealer in Alberta, Canada who has given me great prices and excellent service. I paid $550 CDN each for my front fenders which work out to about $365 US, but I have bought over $6000 in stuff from him over the last six months.

When I inquired about doors, Scott's indicated to me that the manufacturer recommends using their hinges as well for a better fit. Not sure if it is a sales technique or what. My doors were rebuildable so I stayed with the originals.

I ordered and receiced one of these rep. rear fender for my 57 from Chevy Duty. Fit great and looks really nice. I had to wait like a month for it but it was worth it
Good Look

Does anyone have any experience with Sharp Truck Parts ? I’m looking at purchasing doors for my 59 truck. I have in the past had good luck with Chevy Duty. Just wounding about Sharp Truck Parts as a secondary part supplier.

Thanks
