The Stovebolt Site Forums The Shop Area Paint and Body Shop Paint striping?

I have a set of stake racks for my 2 ton that were previously pin striped and looked quite nice. The racks are faded now and need redoing. Just started painting them today and I was wondering about the paint striping. Would a tool such as is advertised at J.C Whitney be a good thing? They're not expensive but I don't know anything about such paint tools. Thanks to anyone who has something to say about them.

George, I bought the Beugler Deluxe Pinstriping Kit (Item No. - 37024) from Eastwood. It's pricier, but it's a top quality tool with an assortement of stripe widths.
I use it A LOT for my vintage bicycle restorations.

The only drawback is that you WILL end up pinstriping just about anything you'll lay your hands on. My toolbox, the shop fridge, the torque wrench have all been striped...

Whizzerick thanks for the answer, bought a trailer to pull behind Harley for Maws wheelchair, was going to match paint to bike but didn't know how to do the "stripping" got book from that Co. yes pricey but believe ya when you say it works. That's good information. I saw that Beugler striper after I posted my questions. It sure looks like a quality tool and has been around for decades. Since no one in town here seems to know what they are I'll send for one. Thanks again.
