And what happened in the early days ? They didn't want people exiting their autos on the street side because the road was shared with horses and jumping out of the driver's side could scare them as they were coming down the street! Whenever you see an old movie, they always scoot across the seat and get out on the passenger side. Also, I'll bet it was a rare occassion to lock your car up ... people rarely locked the front doors to their houses back then!

| | | | | Joined: Jan 2004 Posts: 11 Junior Member | | Junior Member Joined: Jan 2004 Posts: 11 | I'm from the 50's and in the little town of Cambridge Ohio if you got out on the left side on main street (Route 40 back then) likely as not you'd get your door knocked off by a 10 or 14 wheeler. As a side note can you just reverse the handles to be able to lock and unlock from the drivers side, just don't have to worry about 14 wheelers in the Wal-Mart parking lot.

I havn't tried to fab a cam opposite the pass yet but if it works I plan on putting a lock on my dr side. I have a few spares to mess with just litte time right now. | | |
