what was the factory color for the floor board and toe board for the 46 1/2T. I would guess the color of the adjacent support frame?

Bob,
The floor pan and toe board were painted black.
All other removable parts were painted the special Beige color. (Including door panels)
The rest of the interior was body color.
Steering column was a dark Brown as was the steering wheel.
The shifter and parking brake lever was a matt black.
Windshield (both sides) body color.

Also the interior side of the firewall was painted the "special beige" color.

All the information I have come across says the interior firewall was body color. If it was a removable piece, it was painted the beige color otherwise it was body color.

Jim Carter's pictures are of a repainted truck so are of limited use.

Here is a picture of one of my trucks in which the firewall is visible. The truck had never been repainted.

FWIW, GMC trucks of the same area had body color firewalls - but not Chevy.
