I know the number of teeth on the driven gear. I want to avoid opening up the transmission, so if anyone can help me I would appreciate it. I want to get a ratio adaptor and need to know the number of drive/driven teeth.

I've been able to remove my gear by putting the tranny in neutral and while removing the speedo gear the big gear inside turns. Otherwise what about opening up the bell housing so you can turn the driveline (assuming yours in enclosed) while unthreading the speedogear. This way you can confirm the number of teeth you have.
