I am trial fitting the fenders and grille on my 1954 1/2 ton the front of the left inner fender keeps the grille from pulling up against the fender at the parking light. The angle on the front of the inner fender appears to be different than the angle on the mounting flange on back of the grille,I bought this inner fender a while back supposed to be a 54 wondering if it could be a 47-53 and causing the problem.

Except my inner fenders are 54-55. The only difference between the two are the 54-55 has 3 holes running across the front lower portion of the inner fender's where the grill bolts to it. I have a set of 47 2nd series-53 inners I will look and see if they have those ame holes I don't think so because the grills mount differently but you know chevy- almos everything enterchanges.

| | | | | Joined: Jan 2002 Posts: 84 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jan 2002 Posts: 84 | hey hope it helps you out as much as possible...those ole ad's were built pretty tight and once you take one apart- boy you find that after all the years of twisting and rust and all, the parts don't always go back as easy as when we take them apart. You will have to use a little force to line up those inner fenders to the grill. It will work one bolt at a time.
