For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Nov 2015 Posts: 23 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Nov 2015 Posts: 23 | On my 56 I can lift the rear of the cab corner and the back wall moves while the bracket stays still due to the stress cracks. I am having some stress cracks welded up and inner/outer cab corners replaced and it looks like L bracket is only welded to the floor NOT the rear cab wall. Is the L shaped bracket attached to the inside rear cab mounts welded to BOTH the floor and the rear cab wall?

You may also have issues with the horizontal spot weld across the back panel at the bottom. | | | | | Joined: Nov 2015 Posts: 23 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Nov 2015 Posts: 23 | Thank you.....I do have problems with the horizontal spot welds as well. What is the best way to level before doing the corners? Do the back wall welds first?
