For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Sep 2015 Posts: 75 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Sep 2015 Posts: 75 | My cousin's neighbor has a chevrolet c70. I'm pretty sure it's a 61, although it has the later style hood. Calling it a parts truck would be optimistic, but it does have a few good peices. My 63 c10 is still seat-less and the seat in the c70 is in surprisingly good shape. I know the bigger trucks have a lower transmission hump and I was wondering if the seats would interchange. If anybody wants parts, let me know and I will see what condition they are in and let you know.

Hood, doors and glass will all fit our trucks. Many body parts (except grill and fenders) will fit our little trucks. | | | | | Joined: Mar 2009 Posts: 788 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Mar 2009 Posts: 788 | Yes, let me know what might be salvageable in the sheetmetal, cab and door department. Okie doke. Things got a little strange after this post. The original post was a good one and a good place to start the inquiry.
Tiny's post was in keeping with good order here (which we TRY to do). He was just saying if it turns out there are some parts available, please list them in the Swap Meet. The general idea that there may be some are now know. If someone wants more information about what's there, just PM about it. OR "63" can list a bunch of the stuff he sees on the truck(s) in the Swap Meet. That would take a lot of time; and figuring prices may take even more time.
Any which aways, there's some stuff available. If you are looking for more info ... you know what to do.
Thanks all.

First, I would like to say I'm sorry for any misunderstanding I caused about the parts. The reason I didn't post the parts in the for sale forum was because I don't actually own any of it. I am going to ask the owner next time I get A chance If I can get the parts I need, and I thought if anyone needed something specific I could get it when I get my parts. I appreciate the input, as I am new to forums and havn't quite learned the ropes yet. Please bear with me.
That said, I'm afraid the fenders, running boards and hood are completly useless. I do not believe it is equipped with a vacuum gauge, at least not an original one, as the dash appeared identical to my c10. It did have some after market gauges that I would say where added in the seventies or eighties, but I didn't check what they where. Glass seemed to be good, although the windshield was fogged a little. The grille was also very good. If you want to know the condition of a particular part, let me know and I'll see what I can do
Thank you very much for the advice on the compatibility of the seat.
Thanks for your patience! | | |
