Joined: Oct 2005 Posts: 4,252 | On my '51, I have a piece of trim on either side of the interior upper rear doors. Straight piece, 4 (?) screws hold it in place. It goes from the upper rear headliner bow, down along the opening and covers the sheet metal seam. My question, is there a different version? I saw a post somewhere else where there was a straight piece, maybe 3 screws held it on with another piece that was almost 90* in shape? Different years?
I wanted to grab the photo of the 90* version but it looks like it has already been removed. I could grab a photo of my straight pieces if that helps.

Some were made of sheet metal and the other was aluminum. I may have pictures in my photobucket,I'll check and let you know.

The replacement trims I bought are made of aluminum. The guy I bought them from said "he had never seen them made from sheet metal". I'm not sure what time frame either was made.

You can make one out that I have installed, driver side in my Suburban. http://www.bunchobikes.com/1952suburban180.jpg I'm starting to wonder if the fella had the wrong year and the trim he had was for a different version Suburban.
