on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Nov 2002 Posts: 33 Member | | Member Joined: Nov 2002 Posts: 33 | reason im asking i bought one title says 1950... seems to be a 51 to me tho | | | | | Joined: Jan 2002 Posts: 398 Member | | Member Joined: Jan 2002 Posts: 398 | A couple of differences come to mind. First, 1950 was the last year of one-piece side window glass (no vent windows). second, I believe 1950 had a vent door on the side of the cowl. 1951 was the only year the AD's came with BOTH turn-down door handles AND vent windows. I'm pretty sure 1950 was the first year for modern type tubular shock absorbers and I believe 1951 was the first year for Bendix type drum brakes (as opposed to the earlier "huck" style). Hope this helps and also hope someone more "in the know" will correct me if I'm wrong. Regards, Wannabe
