My first of MANY questions is I am putting a first gen 350 sbc in this 63 GMC shorty fleet with a TH350. The truck came with it lowered a bit , 4wdb, power steering, and sway bars. Other things as well but let me start with those.
I mounted the engine on new mounts using the front two of the three holes. I was planning on not using a Wp mounted fan so I thought this was ok. What I really need from you guys is to find out what headers I should use. I thought my old long tube headers from my 69 ss Camaro would work. (this motor came out of that car) but no room. So what should I buy? And how do I post pics?? Unless you are going racing you will be better off. ^^^This^^^ Ramhorns are almost just as good as headers from dyno test results I've seen. The torque and horsepower numbers were so close it was amazing. For simplicity and not needing to worry about re-torquing the headers, and making spark plug changes easier, ramhorns are better. dyno results - headers vs ramhorn manifolds

Ram's horns, or even the later model rear-dump cast iron exhaust manifolds will be a lot easier to plumb, they won't burn out plug wires from exhaust gas leaks, and the underhood temperature will be about 100 degrees cooler!
