I was wondering if anyone could tell me if I can upgrade my rear end to that of a 46 chevy 1/2 ton pickup? I can only go about 45 mph currently so the highway is not an option. My brother has a 46 pickup and he can get up to 55-60 mph on the highway. I'm looking for just a bit of improvement and not trying to go through the pain of open driving with a later model rear end.
Please let me know if what I'm proposing is doable and what steps, challenges, suggestion???
Thanks!

Your engine is a 207, the 46 was a stock 216, could be a 235 or 261 if it was changed out. The engine might give you a little more speed, but basically you are looking a pretty much the same truck from 36 (37 for sure) to 54.
